WHAT IS GOLF MARK?
Essendon Country club is one of only a few clubs in Hertfordshire that have been rated as High Achievers under the Golf Mark Scheme.
WHAT IS THE GOLF MARK SCHEME?
- It’s a national scheme run by England Golf, in association with Sport England
- It identifies and recognises junior and beginner friendly golf facilities
- It assesses three key areas within the golf club:
1) Coaching & Playing
2) Club Environment (including sports equity & ethics)
3) Child Protection & Duty of Care
- Clubs qualifying for Golf Mark are also recognised by Sport England as a Club Mark facility – the national standard for quality sports clubs.
WHAT’S SO GOOD ABOUT BEING JUDGED A HIGH ACHIEVER?
- It’s the highest rating available to any golf club
- It means Essendon has met additional conditions over and above the standard Golf Mark requirements
